This course provides the required 6-hour Supervision course for EFT Supervisor Certification or will work to renew your EFT Supervision and Training skills based on the new and updated EFT Model of Supervision and Training created by EFT Trainers Lisa Palmer-Olsen, George Faller and Marlene Best.

Feion Villodas

Dr. Villodas is a professor in the psychology department and the Director of Graduate Student Diversity at San Diego State University. She is also a clinical psychologist and serves as a clinical supervisor for one of the top Clinical Psychology program, SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. As the Director of Graduate Student Diversity, she develops and facilitates training on diversity, equity, and inclusion for SDSU graduate students and faculty. She also supports faculty and staff engaged in hiring, diversity planning, and other diversity initiatives. Her research focuses on mental and behavioral health disparities among African-Americans and Latinx populations. She is particularly interested in acculturation, cultural competence, community-based participatory research approaches, and the adaptation and implementation of effective treatments for culturally diverse populations. Dr. Villodas also worked at VA San Diego and the University of California San Diego and VA Palo Alto. She has extensive training in multiple evidence-based treatment modalities

Nalini Calamur

Nalini is in private practice in Berkeley, CA. She has extensive experience in Community Mental Health, with interracial relationships, and with chronically excluded, queer, or multicultural individuals and families. She teaches graduate couples therapy at the Wright Institute, and speaks Spanish, Portuguese and English. Nalini serves on the Board of Cross-Cultural Communications, Inc. and on the ICEEFT Board standing Diversity Committee

Lisa Palmer-Olsen

Dr. Lisa J. Palmer-Olsen, Psy.D. is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in San Diego, California for over twenty years. She is also a Certified International Emotionally Focused Therapy Trainer and AAMFT approved Supervisor. Dr. Palmer-Olsen’s primary clinical and research interests are in the area of family systems and high conflict couple work, specifically with clients dealing with trauma and attachment related injuries. As a founder and Co-Director for Renova San Diego Inc, a non-profit 501(c)(3) based out of San Diego, she is committed to providing quality San Diego services accessible to all who seek it. Dr. Palmer-Olsen is passionate about providing affordable, high caliber training to mental health clinicians around the world. Dr. Palmer-Olsen completed her dissertation research on how to train and teach Emotionally Focused Therapy to professionals. Lisa was trained directly by the founder of the EFT model Dr. Susan Johnson.

Nancy Brittain

Nancy Brittain, LCSW (she/her/hers) is an EFT Supervisor based in Denver, CO. Before starting her private practice, Nancy worked in wilderness therapy and substance use treatment. Nancy also teaches Relationship Therapy at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work.

Jay M. Seiff-Haron

Jay is an EFT Supervisor-in-Training in San Francisco, CA. He works with many chronically marginalized, historically excluded, interracial or queer relationships, and has co-led 30+ week-long residential retreats about antiracist intersectionality. His own family is queer, immigrant, multiethnic, and interfaith. Jay serves on the Board of Cross-Cultural Communications, Inc. and on the ICEEFT Board standing Diversity Committee.

James McCracken

James (he/him/his) is a Certified EFT Supervisor in Durham, NC. James has worked in various community health and mental health services, solo practice, is former faculty of the UNC School of Medicine, and is a co-founder and the Clinical Director of North Carolina Therapy Professionals. James is a co-chairperson for the ICEEFT Board standing Diversity Committee.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Rachel Thomas

Rachel Thomas, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, has been practicing therapy since 1997. She is a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor and specializes in working with couples to create healing and connection. In addition to extensive EFT training, Rachel is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) which is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. Rachel has been an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor since 2005 and has provided supervision to many other practicing professionals as they progress forward in obtaining their license. She provides on-going clinical supervision and consultation to the therapists at Therapy With Heart as well as outside clinicians who contract for additional EFT supervision and consultation.

Suzanne Barron

Suzanne Barron, LMFT is an ICCEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist and Supervisor. She is passionate about supervision and helping therapists to learn and experience EFT in a safe environment. She is involved in EFTCLA and serves as the training team lead for the Los Angeles Center training. Suzanne provides individual supervision, shared supervision, and group supervision for therapists learning the model.
